I'm going to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf on New Year's day. I might have got a travel luck this year..

I should have checked. I should have asked!!.. I only asked when the guided tour was in Opera, but didn't asked about admission. If you have got to get into it, you should make a reservation for the guided tour.

You should watch this film to fall into the bizarre world of Steven Shainberg. Althugh it has got a bit predictable plot, I couldn't reduce the tension all the while.

Almost all biography films plot their important events or achivements. The senarios are made through research and historical investigation. In case of present person, the agreement would be needed. How then did the director of "secretary" tell this story of the most important photographer in 20century? He never showed us her taking pictures which are really famous today at all. Furthermore Lionel, the leading character(Robert Downey Jr.) was not even an existed man.

I won't tell its plot, but the act of Robert Downey Jr. glittered although he was completely covered with fur.

When we are travelling, it is necessary to go to toilets as often as we can, but I became to go to toilets everytime if I visit to designed buildings since I've worked at 101architects.

What was interesting is there were a shower faucet in every public toilet in Helsinki. They seemed like hand held bidets.

On third day of company trip to Japan, we went to Kumamoto castle which is in the centre of the city. It is surrounded by beautiful nature as stream, and modern buildings aside. Although some buildings were under construction or rebuilted because of the war 100years ago, the streets of zigzag shape were between tall huge walls. When most of people were amazed by the buildings above the walls, I couldn't take my eyes off from the curves of walls. They were built to defend from the enemies on purpose, and it made magnificent views also.

Kurokawa is in Kyushu island, south of Japan.
It is a very lovely and cozy town, and has got approximately 20 onsen ryokans in it.
If you buy a onsen one day ticket which made of wood, you can go and enjoy any 3 onsen ryokans in this town.

How can I take a picture of an impression of circular space? The church Temppeliaukio doesn't seem to be made of stones. It's more like being among stones. The timeless design of it was primitive but elegant, and delicate but powerful.

When I woke up in the morning on new year's day, this documentary was on TV that I didn't turned off at night. This film is one of the best of discovery channel series, and also released at some film festivals. It's about a man attracked by grizzly bear in Alaska. Timothy Treadwell, aka Grizzly man loved bears with all his heart, lived for them, and was killed by them. He wanted to die for them and he knew that he would die.

"I will protect these bears with my last breath." It is said that his watch is still ticking was found on his severed arm. I became to have a certain admiration for his courage, and recklessnes.

Travelling about 1 hour from centre of Copenhagen, I could reach to Louisiana museum of modern art. The exquisite museum is located between the Baltic sea and a garden which is full of sculptures. The scale of the museum is quite extensive, but it never overwhelm the nature.

With sweet Zaha dulram Misook, I went to Hoam art hall on 4th. Jan. Until then I only knew about the name of the pianist, Kim Sunwook, but the concert was a duet with the cellist Chung Myung-hwa. Most of the audience might have focused to listhen to the grest cellist, but during the concert, both of us couldn't look off from his dramatic action. He is the first Korean, and youngest pianist who won first prize at Leeds competition. He is only nineteen years old and already 3rd at KNUA! Even Rachmaninov's sonata, it was really "playing" piano for him. Although he hadn't moved his body on purpose, the action was beautiful like dancing. Beautiful move in beautiful sound.

As the plan is simple, it seems to get powerful.

Asplund's library is Stockholm's most internationally acclaimed building. While I was getting closer to the library, I could see only cylinder form and squares. Only the orange colour of the elevation looked exotic. However if you get into the library, the panorama of books make an unique view and realise why the outerior had to be. It is said that the inspiration was a temple of wisdom, borrowing form and ornament from ancient Egypt. As we can see in the picture, the building is all about books and history.
